Mclaren 600LT

The stunning and speedy McLaren 600LT is the newest chapter of the ‘Longtail‘ range that this car manufacturer has to offer. With a massive £185,000 price tag, you expect no less than perfection. Although it follows the same spirit as its predecessors, its new and improved technology and design make’s it one of McLaren’s best. The McLaren continues to push the performance of its Longtail Sports Series, and the 600LT is evidence that they continue to succeed.

The 600LT features a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 which is an eight-cylinder configuration engine placed on the crankcase with four cylinders parallel to the other four. This magnificent engine can reach an outstanding 562 brake-horsepower due to its flame-spitting top-exit exhaust and can go from 0-60 in just 2.9 seconds. The immense power produced from this mighty engine is transmitted to the rear wheels of the vehicle through its seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Speed isn’t the only thing that this car has to offer, as its design greatly impacts the driving experience as well catching the eye of those it passes. It weighs an exceptional 1356kg which is the lightest Longtail that McLaren has designed to date. Its lightweight design means that the vehicle takes less energy to pick up speed and can, therefore, reach its maximum potential speed. When reaching the 600LT’s astonishing speed limit, it is essential that it has the ability to brake efficiently. The cars ABS trigger and braking ability are exceptional, proving that the 600LT technology has reached new and improved hights.

For the braking to have its full effect, McLaren has graced us with 19-inch front and 20-inch back wheels that have been wrapped in the new Pirelli Trofeo R Tyre. The Pirelli Trofeo R Tyre has been designed with the ability to engage its drive with the ultimate control and traction capabilities. These tyres also have a new forged alloy wishbone, hollow anti-roll bars and carbon-ceramic braking set-up for a reliable performance. The grip on these fantastic wheels are incredible and you can really feel the difference in design when driving the 600LT compared to the older Longtail’s. With a high-end brand like McLaren, you expect no less than perfect.

Ferrari 812

Although most modern supercars have the engine situated at the back of the vehicle, the latest supercar model from Ferrari has its engine positioned at the front. Taking inspiration from the outstanding performance vehicles Lamborghini Aventador S and McLaren 720S, the Ferrari uses the front engine to enhance performance. The speed of this beautiful vehicle is also enhanced with the new design of which includes aerodynamic elements. Due to the design of the car, it can now reach up to 200mph and has a braking-horsepower of 789bhp. Ferrari has estimated that their newest 812 supercar can stop 5.2 per cent faster than the F12, which is pretty impressive. Speed is definitely one of the most outstanding elements of this fantastic vehicle. The technology that drives the speed of this car is worth £263,098, but in our opinion, it is well worth the money.

The car is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 which makes for a great soundtrack while driving this vehicle and focuses its power on the rear-wheel-drive layout. Having the rear-wheel-drive and engine at the font of the car, it means that the car’s power is balanced out just right for a comfortable ride. The engine is accompanied by a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which can now shift approximately 30 per cent faster than a traditional dual-clutch. Not only can the clutch now give you a faster drive, but the new electrically powered steering allows you to adjust the steering torque. The changing design of the 812 Ferrari makes for this outstanding vehicle to reach the top of all supercar wish lists.

Lamborghini Huracan Performante

The outstanding rear-biased all-wheel-drive brought to us by Lamborghini will have every car enthusiast car spotting to try and get a glimpse of this beauty. Including the regular Huracan 5.2-litre engine, this car can go from 0-62mph in just 2.9 seconds, making it a speedy supercar for a thrilling drive. To accompany this outstanding performance in speed, the car can also achieve a 631 braking-horsepower.

The engine is not the only thing that makes this supercar a speedy investment. The Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva is also included in the design of this streamline car. By having this as part of the car, it means that the streamlined design can increase the speed of the vehicle and make for the ultimate performance supercar.

Other additions to this fantastic car are its composite front spoiler. Again, the design of the spoiler allows the aerodynamics of the car to increase the speed and therefore maximise its ability to reach Lamborghinis desired performance. The spoiler works by opening the flaps to channel air through to reduce drag and maximise acceleration. Having the spoiler design, rear wings and diffusers, as well as the lightweight engine cover, helps to reduce the weight of this vehicle. The outstanding performance of this car most definitely makes it a worthy contender for the best supercars in 2019.

Ford GT

Most millennials may think that ford is a generic everyday car manufacture producing affordable and comfortable cars to commute to work in. However, ford was once the company to beat when it came to supercars, with its incredibly fast and futuristic technology winning every race and astonishing its viewers. It is fair to say that Ford has once again amped up its game when it comes to supercars with its outstanding GT vehicle. Unfortunately, this car doesn’t quite fit in with Ford’s affordable cars, as it has a price tag of £450,000. Although it may be significantly more than the other supercars that have been discussed, there is a good reason for it.

The GT originates from Henry Ford’s original version of the Ferrari named GT40. The 1960’s GT40 was designed to outperform the Ferrari, so it is only fair that the new and improved GT does the same. With its butterfly doors and rear spoiler, this vehicle is easy on the eyes and a performance beast on the road. Weighing as little as 1385kg, this car was built for maximising speed. Speaking of speed, the GT can read an astonishing 216 mph and goes from 0 to 60 in just 2.8 seconds.

Ford has improved the braking system of their stunning supercar by incorporating carbon-ceramic discs all around the car. These discs are made from a mixture of powders and fibres to create a high-performance material that helps with heat resistance to allow the car to go faster for longer. Attached to a pair of 20×8.5 inch front alloys and 20×11.5 inch rear alloys this car continues to outperform our expectations.

Not only does this car have speed, but it also includes technology to make for a luxury driving experience. The GT has five different driving modes so that you can ensure that every drive is exciting and the car can perform the way in which it was intended. These modes include a track mode and a sports mode. Much like other vehicles, the sports mode gives the car a boost of energy to ensure that it meets your need for speed, while the track mode improves the grip of the car, allowing you to drive through adverse weather conditions.
